Bug Day 2 – Half Way Update

Posted by grundleborg on April 20, 2008

In terms of time, we’re now past halfway through the second in the latest series of bug days. If you’re not already in #kde-bugs on irc.freenode.net helping out, you should join right now! We need your help! Nothing more than a computer running KDE4 is needed.

Now for some details of what we’ve accomplished so far. We’re nearly halfway through the ~615 bugs we set out to triage today, but I’m hoping that we’ll finish due to the larger numbers of people involved during European waking hours. We’ve got a nice long list of bugs that just need to be double checked but are almost certainly fixed, so that should make a good healthy dent on Konqueror’s tally. And, my favourite statistic of the day so far, we have already overtaken the number of people who took part on the first bug day! I promise there will be more statistics of a more quantitative nature in about 12 hours when the day is over.

Lastly, we have a few bugs that need unusual requirements to test, so if you have a working printer, a “Microsoft Exchange Web Access” account or java running inside Konqueror, we’d love to hear from you right now. Come to #kde-bugs and announce yourself and what requirement you meet and you will be worshipped for evermore by the bugsquad.

UPDATE: Thanks to all you Outlook Web Access users who helped us to triage those bugs so quickly! We still need people with printers and java though.
